The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management provides a specialist work – related programme of study that covers key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the hospitality industry and also offers particular specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units.

Entry Requirements: Mont Rose College recruits students of outstanding achievement from all educational backgrounds. Previous exam results are the main criteria for admission to Mont Rose College. International students also need to show English language competency in order to secure admission. The following criteria must be met in order to secure admission at Mont Rose College.
Restrictions on Learner Entry: The Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications are accredited on the QCF for learners aged 18 years and over.

Progression Route on completion: The Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Hospitality Management offers a progression route for learners who are employed in the Hospitality industry. The Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Hospitality Management is particularly useful for learners who wish to progress to a Bachelors Degree.
Awarding Body Membership Fee: The Pearson fee for HND Membership is £182.60* to be paid by the candidate to the college on enrollment. This fee is excluded from tuition fee.

Assessment: The purpose of assessment is to ensure that effective learning of the content of each unit has taken place. Evidence of this learning, or the application of the learning is required for each unit. Each unit contains statements of the evidence that each learner should produce in order to receive a ‘pass’. All units are individuality graded as ‘pass’ ‘merit’ or ‘distinction’. To achieve a pass grade for the unit learners must meet the assessment criteria set out in the specifications. The assessments are mostly assignment based which is internally marked by the college.
Tuition Fee: Different grants and scholarships are available throughout the year for this course. the course is fully funded by the Student Loan Company, this facility is only available of UK and EU students. - Other related level 3 qualifications
- An access to a higher education certificate awarded by an approved further education institution
- Related work experience
- The international students must have a proof of English competency therefore need to have an English test approved by UKBA. They should have Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2 level and above in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
- Applicants whose educational qualifications do not meet the entry requirement of Mont Rose College will be considered for admissions of they have two years or above full time work experience.
