ESOL

 Mont Rose College of Management and Sciences offers ESOL Skills for life qualifications of various awarding bodies. This qualification is designed to help students to improve their basic English language skills. The candidate’s English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will be improved. Completion of the course will benefit a candidate as follows:

• Gain recognition for existing skills in English
• Better speaking and listening skills in English
• Better reading and writing skills in English

Course Contents: The ESOL course is made up of four units:

• Unit 1: Reading
• Unit 2: Writing
• Unit 3: Speaking
• Unit 4: Listening

Assessment: The examination will be arranged by the awarding body.
Career Progression: Completion of the Entry 1 stage will allow students to progress to the further stages which are Entry-2, Entry-3, Level-1 and Level-2.
Study Mode: Full time/Part time
Awarding Bodies: Pearson Edexcel, English Speaking Board. The qualifications were originally accredited by the Qualifications. Holders of these qualifications are able to prove that they have been assessed against nationally recognised standards in English.

Entry Requirements: The ESOL skills for Life qualifications are open to everyone, irrespective of existing qualifications, although the following criteria are to be met in order to secure admission at Mont Rose College. There is an initial assessment by a tutor.The tutor will invite the candidate to take an initial diagnostic test to identify the right study level.

• A reference from an educational institution or employer last attended by the applicant.
• The Student should be above 18 years of age.
• For non–UK Applicants/European Union-based applicants, a student visa to study in the United Kingdom is also required.

Please complete and return the Mont Rose College application form along with the registration fee of £150 and relevant qualification documents with 2 passport style photographs and a copy of your passport. International students are advised to enrol with the Awarding Body on arrival in the United Kingdom. Tuition fee for independent students are £135 per month for 24 hours teaching.
